For over 30 years Rod has been a prominent figure in the Florida Construction Industry. He has a myriad of technical skills married with a professional, yet very friendly demeanor! It’s this combination of attributes which has built the Specialty Coating Division into an empire recognized nationwide. Rod has cultivated many relationships throughout Florida in the private and governmental sectors. Rod’s foresight and hard work have grown the Specialty Coating Division every year in the many years of his tenure with HZ Construction, Inc.

 

Mr. Johnson is a native Floridian and a proud father and husband residing in the Central Florida Area. Do not hesitate to contact Rod with any questions about the wide array of tasks this division can perform.

 

Rod consistently leads the field crew in completing projects with quality and efficiency while serving our communities.

Mr. Roth comes from a family replete in construction skills. A graduate of Georgia Military College in Electronics Technology then served in the United States Air Force for six years. He has been our estimator since HZ’s
inception. His keen calculations with measurements, supplies, and labor ensure
the most cost-effective pricing for our customers!
 

During his free time, Adam enjoys supporting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Lightning teams. He also helps the community especially people in need by hosting dogs for Dogs, Inc. His energetic 9 grandchildren help fill his schedule during the weekends.

Mervin is our Project Manager, which involves a myriad of tasks in his day-to-day life. Mervin is a soft-spoken, but strong leader in our
Specialty Coating Division. He has been with HZ Construction for over a decade and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience with him. He is responsible for balancing labor, supplies and timelines for our many projects. He works closely with Rod Johnson and the project superintendents to strategize the safest and most efficient ways of completing projects.

 

Mervin is originally from the island of Nevis from the nation of St. Kitts and Nevis. He and his beautiful wife Joanne make their home in Orlando and have 3 children and six
grandchildren.

Phil has been a valued team member for over a decade.  He has demonstrated an enormous amount of integrity and is extremely reliable.  His role includes supervising our coating crew in a variety of settings.  He places safety as a priority with all the day to day operations.  He has been a strong mentor to the less experienced staff and is admired by all of the HZ personnel.

What motivates Phil to perform so well for HZ Coatings are his three beautiful children and precious grandchildren. When Phil is not supervising our crew on site or enjoying time with his family he enjoys arts such as playing guitar and drawing.
